How they work

An app toy connects to your phone via Bluetooth; your partner, wherever they are, controls intensity and modes from their app, often during a video call. Latency is minimal and the surprise effect is everything.

What to check

Check that the app works on your system, that remote control is included (not all have it) and that the toy is quiet: at a distance the noise is heard by the wearer, not the controller.

The first play

Start together, in the same room, to get comfortable with the app. Then try at a distance on a call: whoever controls starts gently and listens. Clear rules beforehand remove the embarrassment.

Privacy

Serious apps don't ask for useless data and encrypt the connection. Use a nickname, don't share screenshots and choose brands that state what they collect.
