Cleaning and caring for sex toys: the complete guide

Before and after

Wash the toy before first use and after every use: warm water and an alcohol-free toy cleaner. Waterproof toys can be submerged; for the others, a damp cloth avoiding the charging port.

What to clean with

Mild soap works, but a toy cleaner dries without residue and won't affect silicone. No alcohol, bleach or harsh disinfectants: they damage the surface and make it porous.

Storage

Dry completely and store each toy in a cotton pouch or its case, separate from the others: some materials degrade on contact. Away from heat and direct light.

Lubricants and materials

Silicone and silicone lubricants don't mix: always use water-based. With TPE and soft materials, wash carefully and replace the toy when it changes colour or texture.
